Because we’re NZ Government funded, our courses are only available to NZ citizens or holders of NZ residency visas. Unfortunately, we can’t offer international enrolments in our FREE courses.

We are an NZQA-registered Private Training Establishment (PTE), approved to offer Pacific language courses as Training Schemes. Our funding from the Government means that we can deliver these courses to our communities for free!

We offer Samoan language classes, along with Tongan, Vagahau Niue, Tokelauan, Fijian, Rotuman, and Cook Islands Māori language classes. We are in the process of developing courses in Tuvaluan and Kiribati and are aiming to have these running by 2023.

We offer short, 10-week courses taught once a week in a 2hr tutor-facilitated online class via ZOOM. Students should also do at least 1 hour of their own study and practice as they work towards comprehension and fluency.

You can join our courses across three terms per year, for a total of 30 hours (20 hours tutor-facilitated and 10 hours self-directed study) as you seek to improve your language capability.
